Our Leadership

Eugene is Chairman,  Co-Founder and a native Detroiter.   He received his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Dearborn Michigan and  holds extensive experience with Fortune 500 and early stage medtech companies.    

In 2020 he decided to dedicate his energy to solving the conditions that led to disproportionate death rates among black and brown people during the  Global pandemic of 2020 where nearly 800,000 lives have been lost as of December 2021.

Lemuel is Vice Chairman,  Co-Founder and a native of Delaware.  He is a software development and IT expert.  He received his undergraduate education from  Penn State University where he also played basketball for the NCAA Division I Nittany Lions .  He too was moved to bring about change as a result of disporoportionate death rates among black and brown people during the Global Pandemic of 2020.  

Lem brings a wide range of experience to Black Health Movement including CIO of a mid-size automotive engineering firm.  He is as passionate about integrating technology solutions into  Blackhealthmovement.

David Perkins served as the court referee for the 3rd Circuit Court's Family Division before being appointed by the Michigan Governor to the 36th District Court in 2014.  In 2019 he was elected to the bench of  Wayne County Probate Court in Michigan.  

He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. and his Juris Doctorate from Howard University in Washington D.C.

He is a strong community advocate on many fronts and committed to tackling racial health disparities. 

Dr.  Edelson completed his undergraduate training at Brandeis University in Boston, MA and medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine.  He is a leading voice in Endocrinology and Metabolism.  He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and the president of the Board of the Great Lakes Region of the American Diabetes Association Community.  He has been an active member of the American Diabetes Association’s foot council for the past ten years.

Dr. Williams completed his undergraduate education at Howard University in Washington D.C. and attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN.   Dr. Williams serves as the President of the Detroit medical Society and has been a trailblazer in the Detroit medical community for over 30 years.  His commitment to Detroit stems from his fathers legacy who was also a Detroit physician. 

Flint native, Educator, Entrepreneur Engineer and former CEO of Industrial Manufactures Group.   By 2004, Andre grew Manufactures Industrial Group into one of the largest owned minority companies in the United States. By 2008 MIG parts were in 51% of cars on the road in North America.  Today, Andre is a devoted family man and has made reinvesting in Detroit a priority.
